With Collision 2018 just around the corner, it’s time to focus on some of the practical details. Here’s a rundown of all the info you’ll need to make sure you don’t miss a thing.
TransportFirst step, getting to the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. Whether you’re an experienced NOLA navigator or a fresh-faced first-timer, you’ll find everything you need below.
To and from the airport
Collision attendees can avail of a discounted airport shuttle service. A round trip will cost you $38 and take approx. 30 minutes each way. Make sure you book here at least 24 hours in advance.
You’ll find the shuttle desk across from baggage claim area 10.
By taxi: You can grab a taxi from the airport to the Convention Center for around $33. Click here for a full list of local cab companies.
If that’s not your style, you always have the option of Uber and Lyft. Track your ride and get accurate fare estimates through their easy-to-navigate apps:
Parking in the area: Renting a car and driving to the event is an option but keep in mind that parking is limited at the Convention Center. It costs $15 to enter the parking lot. You can download a map of the parking lot here, with the available areas highlighted in blue. Lot F is allocated as public parking and located close to the entrance.
Discovering New Orleans: On the Town, a local concierge service, will have an information point at the Convention Center. They will help you arrange everything from transport and tours, to restaurant reservations or anything else you may need.
Public transport: No matter where you want to go, the Road Transport Authority can get you there. With routes covering the entire city, and 1, 3, and 5 day passes available, public transport in New Orleans is both affordable and environmentally-friendly. The RTA website will help you plan your sightseeing schedule, and most importantly, your Night Summit activities.
